I‘m sure you’ve noticed our hamster Tilly is kind of a big deal at our house. Emma waited about 7 years of her 10 for a pet. Now she has one, and everybody is going to know it. Emma has done so much research on hamsters she could write a book. She has, actually. Her heart and life has been consumed by this tiny little fluff ball.
Emma has been asking me to do a photo shoot of her hamster so I finally got to it this week. We took pictures over a couple of days just for some variety. We really had high hopes of props, crowns, hamster tricks and whatever else we could think up. It turned out Tilly’s idea of a photo shoot was just running around like a wild beast and getting some snacks while I chased her with my camera. She won.
So, Happy Friday and enjoy Miss Tilly, hammy extraordinar.

Tilly is very gentle when Emma hand feeds her. As the shoot goes on, you will see she was storing most of these snacks.
Using the papasan chair to get more snacks.
Time for her greens. She just packed these into her face.
Seriously, look how big her face is getting! I’m glad I don’t clean her cage because she is going to unload this stuff somewhere.
When Till explores, she does it in a low-crawl. Just incase eagles or hawks are flying through my office.
Emma loves this girl. It’s very clear Emma is Tily’s favorite too.
Day two, Tilly just woke up with her bed head.
Time for some more face stuffing.Tilly doesn’t usually get to climb into her snack bag but the shoot was special and I think she knew it.Just a girl and her hamster. I’m thankful Emma has a little friend she can love.
