I‘m so excited about this page! This is where I plan to showcase someone I personally know who I think is fabulous! I have so many wonderful and talented people in my life and I really think you should get to meet them too.
Our very first star in The Multi-ti-Purpose Room Showcase is Mallory Lipert, owner of Made by Malcakes. She just so happens to be married to my cousin, Matt. She’s very talented and like so many of us, has been creating art her whole life. She’s a doer for sure. She’s the girl that will see something she’d like and instead of buying it will just make it or make something like it. This last weekend Steve, Emma, and I got together with Mallory and Matt and had dinner after some quick window shopping. As we went through a couple of stores, Mallory and I just kept looking at stuff and talking about how we could make it. I really love being around creatives.
So prior to going out I had the chance to shoot some images of Mallory’s work space and just a few of her creations. Her space is so darling… and creepy too. I’m kidding, but seriously her space is like a treasure trove of weird, dainty, precious, and unusual gems. Bones (yes, fake-but not all) in a sparkly jar with a cherub ornate lid? She has one! It was given to her by one of her teachers. She is given many treasures from all over and from different people who know she loves the unusual, the antique, and the out of the box items. Quite frankly, I can’t wait till I can find her some items for her menagerie. I hope you have fun looking through this peek into Mallory’s world of fabulous creations. She’s really amazing.

The very first thing you’d notice is the cute pinkness of everything. The centerpiece being this darling boa and JOY banner.

As you start to get closer you can see all the cool bits and pieces of originality. I love the painting of the little girl by Pinky Toast. So much of these items were created by Mallory herself.

Looking into the shelves, You’ll start seeing Mallory’s paper creations and old time photographs. I guess you can say it reminds me of Steampunk meets Nightmare Before Christmas with a hint of Hello Kitty! I love it.
One of the main things Mallory creates is jewelry. Find more pieces at Malcakes on Etsay and madebymalcakes.com

Hanging on the wall is a collection of necklaces Mallory made. I have one of these and I love it. They are so special and handmade with antique papers. These are one of a kind pieces you can only get from Mallory. Let’s take a look at some of her favorites.
I recommend clicking on the images to see them larger.

I told you they are amazing. While we were there Mallory gave one of these beauties to Emma and I thought she was going to die. She’s worn it several times since Sunday.

I really liked this little apothecary shelving space. Treasures in jars! I was just standing in front of everything looking and looking some more.

Jars of antique spools and spoons. The tall bottles belonged to Mallory’s great, great, great, she wasn’t really sure how many greats but he was a grandfather of hers. He was a doctor and her mother was able to find some of his medicine jars and buy them up. Now she keeps her kitty’s fallen whiskers in them. A couple of saved wisdom teeth are in these jars, just in case.

A funeral card. She later found this man’s card was so nice because prior to his death he worked for a printing company. This was a mini history find too!
Another talent of Mallory’s is painting. She’s been taking classes and has really been creating some beautiful pieces. It’s been fun to watch her work really grow and see them as she paints them. You can see this for yourself on Mallory’s Made by Malcakes Facebook Page

Just a few more and her site info. I really think this would be a great screenshot for future reference. Oh and by the way my husband and daughter’s eyes are two of the eyes in the space-eye painting.
So, that is just the tip of the iceberg on Mallory’s fabulous talents! Follow her and see what else she comes up with. She’s just such a doll and I’m lucky because she’s my family. PS if you look through The Multi-ti-Purpose Room a bit you’ll notice a few of the posts have Mallory in them. She happens to be one of my favorite models.
I am honored that you featured my work and I. You have a real talent for capturing all kinds of cool details. Keep up the great work. You are going places doll. ❤
Thanks Sweets! It was so fun spending time with you two! I can’t wait to see what you do next in your fabulous artness!
