Get ready for an explosion of photographs! Over Christmas break, Steve, Emma, and I went to my sister, Michelle’s farm in Wisconsin. It was our first visit there and I was beyond excited to see everything. When we arrived at the airport, my older sister, Cathy surprised us with being there too! We had a fabulous time all being together, celebrating Christmas.

All of us in front of the tree on Christmas Eve! First time with the selfie stick.
It was so cold, but that didn’t stop us from heading into Chicago. What a great city filled with so much history and so much to see. We also toured my sister’s town and around Lake Geneva. It’s a lovely place and I’m in love with the farm lands. I have to say that the farm itself was my favorite part. It’s a wonderful place of unlimited potential for my sister and her husband, Anthony.

In Chicago! Totally stole this picture from Cathy.
Anthony and Michelle have already done so much with the house, and it’s looking adorable. I hope the next time I visit I’ll be able to shoot some pics of the inside. However, I did get to run around on our last day there and shoot a ton of pictures of the outside of their farm, Lucky Break Acres. It was a perfect day right after a big snow dump! They really are so very lucky, and beyond blessed in their new life there. Enjoy the pics!

A touch of Christmas!

Great arrangement at the back entrance to the house. See the Lucky Break Acres logo?

This gate leads to the pool area.

This is the side of the house, and you’re looking at the mother-in-law quarters at the stairs.

This is the outside view of the laundry room and kitchen. How darling are those snowflakes?

This little patio area is sweet. They have a cute set up here during the spring, summer and fall months.

This is the giant tree in the front yard.

I love the way the snow fell on the front railing.

The main road.

I love this big barn. Talk about storage space!

I love this barn and that wreath!

Anthony, keeping the driveway clear.

I love these windows with the snow on them!

Right?

Just a couple more silos.

Cathy, showing me the big red barn!

I love the ice dripping down the side of the cow barn.

Gigi is very curious about it.

Oh, Gi you’re too darling.

Over looking the original property pasture.

It’s the girls! Michelle and Anthony’s latest addition to the farm!

Patsy

They don’t seem to mind the snow at all.

I really like this gate and think I would like this as a print.

Calf barn on the far end of the driveway.

Calf barn. PS it’s in great shape!

Up close

If this barn was mine, it would be my studio because of the amazing light in here.

The windows though…

My sister Michelle totally in her element. Who knew when she was designing in Las Vegas that just a year later she’d be here in her calf barn planning?

The light in here is so beautiful.

Sisters. I love Cathy’s furry hood!

I love these women.

If you’d like to read more about my sister’s farm, I wrote about it here, and you can go to her blog and follow their fabulous adventure here.
How darling is their logo?
There is a part of me that thinks, “I want that life” then I remember I can’t keep up on my MV tract home and in fact I still have Christmas decorations up in several rooms. Love your photos. Thanks for sharing your gift with me. 🙂
Thank YOU for visiting the blog! I was at the ranch last week and raked for two hours, wondering why I ever complained about a neighbor’s tree dropping leaves in the Ladera yard. It’s a ton of work and completely different lifestyle, that’s for sure!
Love it. Love all of it. What a beautiful place. Winter does magical things. So happy for her. She’s got a great project, just like you. You two never stopped creating the whole time you were there, did you?
Two excellent minds coming together!!
Love,
Auntie V
