Lucky Break Acres! The Winter Version

Get ready for an explosion of photographs! Over Christmas break, Steve, Emma, and I went to my sister, Michelle’s farm in Wisconsin. It was our first visit there and I was beyond excited to see everything. When we arrived at the airport, my older sister, Cathy surprised us with being there too! We had a fabulous time all being together, celebrating Christmas.

All of us in front of the tree on Christmas Eve!

It was so cold, but that didn’t stop us from heading into Chicago. What a great city filled with so much history and so much to see. We also toured my sister’s town and around Lake Geneva. It’s a lovely place and I’m in love with the farm lands. I have to say that the farm itself was my favorite part. It’s a wonderful place of unlimited potential for my sister and her husband, Anthony.

In Chicago! Totally stole this picture from Cathy.

Anthony and Michelle have already done so much with the house, and it’s looking adorable. I hope the next time I visit I’ll be able to shoot some pics of the inside. However, I did get to run around on our last day there and shoot a ton of pictures of the outside of their farm, Lucky Break Acres. It was a perfect day right after a big snow dump! They really are so very lucky, and beyond blessed in their new life there. Enjoy the pics!

  1. There is a part of me that thinks, “I want that life” then I remember I can’t keep up on my MV tract home and in fact I still have Christmas decorations up in several rooms. Love your photos. Thanks for sharing your gift with me. 🙂

    1. Thank YOU for visiting the blog! I was at the ranch last week and raked for two hours, wondering why I ever complained about a neighbor’s tree dropping leaves in the Ladera yard. It’s a ton of work and completely different lifestyle, that’s for sure!

  2. Love it. Love all of it. What a beautiful place. Winter does magical things. So happy for her. She’s got a great project, just like you. You two never stopped creating the whole time you were there, did you?
    Two excellent minds coming together!!
    Love,
    Auntie V

  3. Just the escape I needed today! Beautiful Images! Thanks Kel! 🙂
