Sweet Valentine!

At Home, Home decor

As I’ve said before, I LOVE Valentine’s Day! I love the color and sparkle, and hearts! I’ve never really had any Valentine’s decorations though. Last year, Emma and I decided to make some decorations that we could just throw around the house. We went through all my old scrapbooking papers and pulled many, pinks, reds and cute little papers that would work for the holiday. Then we bought red and pink tissues. We made simple paper chains and tissue flowers and put them around the house. It’s not a big deal, just enough to get us in the mood for love!

It took us a couple of hours to make the stuff and no time at all to put it up. When we opened the plastic tubs of decorations this year is was so fun because we really didn’t totally remember how cute they were! I just love the tissue flowers, and seriously, it all cost us about 25 dollars, including the lights and store bought hearts.

Paper chains greet you as you walk in.

These lights were only a couple of bucks.

The best thing about making your tissue flowers is being able to choose whatever color, or pattern you want.

Just a little something on the buffet and stairs.
