Ok, so! I’m going to show you what I’ve decided to do this weekend to jump start my creative brain. My husband came home from work yesterday after reading my blog, and said he was afraid of what he’d find. Apparently, he feared I would be re-building my car engine or putting up a house addition. So for you baby, I’m just going to pick a few little projects to stir it up this weekend.
When I’m in the mood to “do” I look through places like Pinterest and my tear sheet folders. I also scroll through other blogs for ideas. I use the reader Bloglovin to keep track of all the blogs I follow. These places are full of ideas. I also own many fabulous books full of ideas to get myself making stuff.
Emma has been sick this whole week and I think these projects are just the things to cheer her up! This is what I came up with.
First and foremost, I’m cleaning my house. It’s not dirty but compared to how it’s been looking it’s pretty messy. I think it’s bothering me more than I thought it would. It’s reminding me that we took the house off the market and what we thought was going to happen, isn’t. There is nothing like a quick cleaning to pull a girl out of a funk! Gonna light some candles after and just play.
I posted my cleaning schedule a long time ago, and I thought I’d just go down the list so I don’t miss anything. This is also a good way to keep myself from getting crazy and doing a giant mess of cleaning.
Now, let’s get to the good stuff!

Confetti crafting! Posted by Dollar Store Crafts and Aunt Peaches. I really want to try this, I was thinking of making some Christmas napkin rings?

Ok, these are made of bone china and can be made to order from Etsy. I was thinking, how fun would it be to make our favorite baking soda play dough and make something like these out of it? Gonna try it.

Emma and I went shopping yesterday and I gathered the materials for chocolate chip cookies. Since we are going to my brother’s house for Thanksgiving, I think we need to make some cookies to bring with us!

Now the last thing on my list of to-do’s today is repotting all of my houseplants. I bought some when we put the house on the market but I never got to put them in the pots with soil. Poor things are looking sad and shriveled. It’s time.
So, this is my jump start for the week. After Thanksgiving we’ll be decorating for Christmas, wrapping prezzies, and getting started on the Christmas projects. I also have several photo shoots I’ll be doing before Christmas. I’m getting so excited for the coming holiday season!
