Running! 11

This week I did not run.

There, I said it.

I didn’t run, not a single day. I was up each morning by 0700 hours but never left the house. On top of being in the middle of a heat wave this week, I’ve been in the middle of the final stages of getting my house ready to get on the market. From morning to night I’ve been working. I sanded and painted the wood on the outside of my 2,526 Sq.Ft house. I re-planted my flower beds and laid down a ton of new soil and bark in the yard. I painted the whole downstairs, and three rooms upstairs. I also packed about 20 boxes of books, pictures, and personal knick-knacks. We deconstructed our classroom and turned it back into a casual eating area in the kitchen.

After three trips to storage, and spray painting a couple of new pieces for my house, I am almost done. Everyday I wake up I am more and more sore, but it is really paying off. The house is looking clean and new and all the while I’ve been asking myself why I didn’t do these things to my house before?

I guess I’ve been busy being busy.

That really needs to change.

OK, so I’m going to be behind again. I’ll be starting week 9 this week and you will be in week 10. I’m laughing a little because who is “you?” I ask myself if anyone reading my blog is really running but it really doesn’t matter. The best thing I did was put this up on the blog. It has kept me accountable and kept me on my runs. I would have quit a while back but I know I’m going to write about it every Friday so I keep on. In life, stuff happens and it really does get difficult to get things done and we have to choose what our priorities are. This week is was my house. No apologies, I’m just going to get back at it this week because the house will be completed.

Here is the workout for the week:

  • Walk for 2min. Run for 13 mins.
  • Repeat that sequence one more time.
  • End with 3 minutes of walking.

Total workout time is 33 minutes with 26 of them being running.

Have a fantastic week, and take care of you.
