Happy Sunday!

I feel like my last few posts have been plenty of talking about life and the state of things, probably enough to last awhile.

What I think we need is some action! Over the last year, I’ve actually been able to get a few little photo shoots in. They have been just enough to make me remember how much I love photography. I happen to live in a beautiful area, and frankly~ this place makes for an amazing back drop in all my outdoor shoots.

Over the next couple of weeks I’ll be catching you up on the house, photoshoots, and the wonderful plans I’m making for the future.

Today I’m sharing one of my closest friend’s sixtieth birthday party. Tracey and I met in the first women’s group I was in when I moved to Northern Nevada. She and I came from Southern California, even though Tracey grew up in Lake Tahoe. She has been an absolutely amazing support to me over the last year. I just love her so much.

A group of our friends and Tracey’s sister put together a wonderful party for her last August. We chose one of our friend’s houses because we would be able to have it in her backyard. There was plenty of space to distance and it was a lovely summer evening.

My gift to Tracey was the photos. I asked her for a list of photo must-haves and these are just a few of the images.

Enjoy the party!

The Party:

The evening was beautiful. After dinner and as the sun was setting, Tracey went around to each party goer and told them what she loved about each of them. In return each of us said what we loved about her. It was certainly a love fest, and a really sweet experience.

I’m so happy my sweet friend was born, and thrilled to have been part of this evening celebrating her birthday.

Just a girl, on a journey. Thankful for love, thankful for friends and family, and thankful for forgiveness. Full of passion, conviction and hope.
