After Mike and Kelsey’s engagement, Kelsey’s parents threw them a party! Looking back, I wish I had taken pictures so I could share them in this story line. It’s so important to take pictures. As photographers I know we get tired of always being the one to do it, and it’s actually like working when you’re supposed to be enjoying yourself. However, I’ve never been sorry I took pictures at any personal event I’ve attended. Just saying.
So, of course, we set up an engagement shoot! This is a gift I will always give my family. I don’t shoot free weddings, (Any wedding photographer knows why) but I do shoot free engagements. Mostly because I love my people, and I’m excited and love taking pictures. It’s a present I can give them that someone else can’t. So, that’s what we did. As part two of this lovely love story, enjoy this fun day of walking around Dana Point Harbor celebrating Mike and Kelsey’s love for each other.
We have a tradition in the Lipert family. My Grandfather told my mom and her siblings, growing up that you should always be doing something in a photo, like pointing for example, because it makes the photo more interesting. This has become a long tradition of pointing in our family photos. It did not take long for Kelsey to integrate this in her modeling. Well done, girl.
They are just too adorable together.
During Mike and Kelsey’s engagement, Kelsey turned 21. I heard a lot of people talking about how young the two of them were. It’s true, they are very young and have so much to learn and so much life ahead of them. However, there is something about the two of them that is just so right. They are a good match, and they have already lived through so much on their own and together, and they have passed these tests. They have become strong people and a strong couple through their hardships, accomplishments, and things they have overcome. It’s an honor to watch them grow. I’m so blessed that I get to be part of it all.
