We closed on the ranch this week and it is finally ours! I cannot wait to start posting pictures of the house! We will be going up next week to take a lot of pictures and start planning some of the updates. Of course, I already have a gazillion ideas of what I want to do. However, I really want to be organized so the most important things get done while the less important stuff gets done over time.
One of the largest areas we want to change is going to be the kitchen. Today’s inspiration post is all about some kitchen! After going through some amazing pictures this week, I thought I’d pull a few aside to share with you, Mostly because they are AWESOME! Enjoy!

I’ve been looking at Islands. It’s the only thing we will be changing out completely in the kitchen. Plus, those cabinet doors…. oh, and the shades, and ceiling. Ok, Everything.

I really love the “shiplap” paneled ceiling. The ceilings in the family room are done this way, and we were planning on bringing it through to the living room. We are also planning on removing a drop ceiling in the kitchen which would give us the perfect opportunity to continue these ceilings into the kitchen.

I really LOVE the dark cabinets! I would totally do something like this but I know myself too well. I know I’d get bored with it, and then I’d have to redo it. I’m sure Steve would be happy if I didn’t do that. He’s lived through a lot of my re-do’s because of color. http://www.greigedesign.com/
