At Home, From the Heart, New Home

We sold our house! We will be starting to move out in less than 2 weeks! We signed a lease on a little triplex in San Juan Capistrano. We’re so excited about the area and the house.

Last year I blogged about our staycation and visit to San Juan Capistrano. The city has been featured in Sunset Magazine, and it’s darling.

We’ve been keeping an eye out for a beach house and right after we saw the San Juan house a beach house became available. After looking at both places, we just couldn’t help but feel we were being pulled to the San Juan house. All the planning and hoping for a beach house left, as we decided on the other house. It’s funny how things like that happen.

We are still only a couple of beach cruiser miles from the beach and have every intention of beaching up the new place, but now we also have all the culture and history of San Juan Capistrano. Seriously, I’m so excited about the adventure because we have great landlords, a great yard with a gazillion fruit trees, great neighbors, and we are right next to downtown; We’ll be able to walk everywhere. San Juan Capistrano is the location of one of California’s first missions settled by Spain, and the first Mexican settlers in America.

We will be less than a mile from the Amtrak/Metro link station, and should I even mention the Mexican food? This area has so many restaurants and incredible Mexican food, the real kind. I’m about ready to jump out of my skin. I’m thrilled to be in such an awesome city, and to start this new adventure in our lives.

This is the first step to our big adventure of moving out of state and building our ranch. The biggest part was selling our home and in August we will begin searching and looking at properties. It’s going to be a very exciting next couple of years, and believe me I’m waiting to see what’s really going to happen in our lives, because everyone knows nothing ever happens as planned.

Just a girl, on a journey. Thankful for love, thankful for friends and family, and thankful for forgiveness. Full of passion, conviction and hope.
