Today is my Uncle Leo’s birthday! I love him so much. He’s always here for me. He’s babysat my girls when I was a single mom, brought me food after surgery, always calls me on my birthday, and he show’s up to every party or family gathering I have. He’s present, loving, and he’s my friend. We’ve been through good times and tough times and have supported each other through both.
We grew up only a few years apart in age so we really were more like cousins. My sister and I always had our uncles to hang out with when we were little and at all the family gatherings. I love that Leo’s sons are so close to my daughters too! He’s just one of those people who’s always been there in my life. He even follows my blog and has since back in the day, when I was writing on Blogspot. He is just the kind of guy that makes me happy I have family.
Leo, I love you, and I’m incredibly thankful you were born; I’ve so enjoyed having you in my life. You rock.
