This week has really been an exercise in staying in the game. We’ve had our house on the market for over 20 days. Three other houses on my street sold in less than two weeks each. On Wednesday, another neighbor told us they were now going on the market, and as it turns out they listed it for 10,000.00 less than ours, and it’s the same model. I’ve had to hold back tears a couple of times just out of frustration.
I know in my heart everything happens in the timing it should, and all things will be working together for good. Over the last 20 days, we’ve dropped the price on our house over 40,000.00. Our other neighbors have sold for more but this is what happens sometimes, and you do what you have to do to stay in the game. Or you get out.
This is exactly what life is about. Stuff happens and we have to choose to stay the course or quit. I want to be the person who stays the course. As hard as it gets, we can get to the other side. Sometimes in the middle of it all it seems impossible, but we just need to look forward and take one step at a time.
So, last night we lowered our price again. Today I woke up and started cleaning and getting ready for another weekend of showing our house, because good things are ahead for us. This is what we do when we set goals and want different things for ourselves. No one ever said change was easy, or making your dreams come true wouldn’t be hard. In fact it’s always been said to be quite the opposite!
Stay the course, be strong, and make your dreams come true. You’re not the only one working at it. I’ll be here doing it too.
