Congratulations! We made it another week! Seriously, hasn’t it just flown by? This whole year is flying by. Everywhere I go, people are telling me this year is flying by for them. I have to agree, I can’t believe we are entering April already! And how weird is it that it’s still just the 21st of March, but I feel like it’s April? Wow, just wow.
Today for our inspiration I have, EGGS! I LOVE EGGS! I love to dye them, too. Every year I really look forward to coloring eggs but by the time we do it we only have a short time frame and I never really get to play with them the way I want to. This year I’m going to be very intentional on dyeing our eggs. I’m starting early! Seriously, why don’t we dye eggs every time we hard boil them? Wouldn’t that be great? Then again, if my husband was bringing purple hardboiled eggs in his lunch during the fall, it could make people talk… I’m sure you know, I COULDN’T CARE LESS! Woooo!
Martha Stewart’s Living April issue is full of beautiful eggs, and if you go to their website you’ll find a ton of different ideas on dying eggs.
So, as usual, here are a few of my favorite ideas:

I just think this is awesome. Doesn’t it make you want to dye eggs? I just love purple and green! This fabulous cabbage-looking egg basket!

Can I just say how perfect this table set up from Crate and Barrel is? These are my house colors, and I get really excited when I find items that are my colors. Crate and Barrel is my favorite for them.
I love home decor and am always searching new ideas or special things that bring a unique look to a room. One of my favorite design elements right now are wood panels on a wall. I’ve been in love with this concept for a couple of years and it seems to really be taking off. The newest Crate and Barrel catalog is full of rooms with wood panels on the walls. I thought I’d share a few of my favorites here:

Again, my colors, so how can I not love it? I’d like to add even more blues and greens into the wood planks.

I totally love this! When I saw it I was in love…then I started thinking about dust. Don’t you think this wall would get dusty? I even started picturing fuzzies from a swiffer duster stuck in the shingles. Still, it’s so cute. A must for a beach love shack for sure! wink wink

Lastly, here is a great example of a room with the different finishes. I really think the different sized planks really add to the interest of the wall. It’s so pretty.
Have a great rest of your weekend and enjoy the things that inspire you.
