Now that we are staying in our house, we’ve been talking about what we are going to do so we’re happier, and we can also add value to our home for a time in the near future when we do sell. One of the things that has really bothered me is the brown wall behind our bed. I liked it when we had brown linens and accents all over the room. However, we don’t have those anymore. I have already changed out the bedskirt to a white one so now all we have that’s brown is the wall. I’ve always wanted to make a feature wall with wood that is multi-colored, like this one.
However, after seeing what you need to do to get a house ready for the general public, this doesn’t seem like something EVERYone would like. Plus it seems like it would be a pain to remove. I’ll keep this for our long time home in the future. But, really isn’t it just fabulous?
I started thinking about what I could do on that wall. I was thinking that a beautiful grasscloth would be perfect. I love the look of grass cloth. It’s so classy and fancy. I’m not afraid of wall paper, I’ve actually hung it and don’t really mind doing it. I’m thinking I’d like to hang the grass cloth behind my bed over the brown wall. I started searching this look and this is what I found on, you got it, Houzz.

I would love to use a color but being that we are going to sell in three years I don’t want to limit the room to a specific color or have to take it down.
What do you think? If this was your brown wall what would you do with it?
