Easy Like a Sunday Morning

OK, we are flakes. We totally missed church this morning. As hard as I tried I couldn’t wake up, even after Steve came in and tried to wake me up! As soon as he crawled back into bed I knew that was the end of me trying to get up to go to church. Sometimes we are flakey, we just are. On the days we miss church one of two things usually happens.

One, I get a ton of work done around the house. I’m talking the week long kind of cleaning, or yard work or making a huge meal for many people. Or two, we are super lazy and sleepy all day because something happened the day before that has us all tired. This Sunday was in the category two phase. Steve worked over 60+ hours this week and Emma and I painted a couple of rooms in the house. We partied last night with our fabulous family in celebration of another upcoming wedding! Yay! In fact, Steve woke me up on the couch this morning at 3:30am to tell me to come to bed. Sheesh, I sound like a lazy person who just sleeps all the time. Anyway, today is an easy Sunday morning for sure.

So, as I’m sitting her on bloglovin’ and twitter catching up chatting with friends I see my new lens. I have been chomping at the bit to try it out. So here are the first photos I took with my new EF 24-105mm 1:4 L lens. PS I LOVED the manual focus on it, which is just a big deal for me for so many reasons. Enjoy my junk, because that’s what is all over my office right now.

A little blowie thing I got free with the lens. I think my kids use these more than I ever would.

New scent from Bath and Body! Emma picked this one out for her dad. It's still sitting here in the office…

Can you almost smell these? I LOVE CRANS!

So now that I wasted the first half of the day I think I’ll go get a workout in and a little run and maybe some painting of the living room. It was fun while it lasted.

Just a girl, on a journey. Thankful for love, thankful for friends and family, and thankful for forgiveness. Full of passion, conviction and hope.
