For my last post of the big wedding I’m just going to take you on a little walk around the yard to show you a few of the little details that made Ryan and Jill’s wedding so special. These were on top of all the little things they did to make each person feel special. Jill put a ton of thought into everything. They spent hours on the crafting, preparing and setting up. It was very well worth it and it all shined through.
Follow me through the reception. Oh, and feel free to pin away! Jill had some fantastic ideas!
The neighborhood was beautiful and the church was directly across the street from Jill’s parent’s house. They had the reception in the house where Jill grew up.So many cute signs were used, I love the chalkboard look for sureThis bike was what Jill and Ryan rode over to her parent’s house the first time he met them. They rode away on this bike at the end of the evening. It was priceless.More darling signsThese beautiful flowers were on everything and everywhere. So perfect.
How cute is this bird bath?
Perfect photo spots were scattered around. This was the open door frame sign. One of my personal favorites. They used the engagement photos I took of them and made a guest book out of them and people signed it using metallic pens. I’m always so so happy when people use their photos. They used their photos throughout the entire reception set-up. Another perfect reason for an engagement shoot. The glass mugs were personalized with people’s names and table number. Jill had all family’s mugs pre set on their tables already. Just one of many personal touches that made us feel special.
Too cute.Cheese and crackers were served while pictures were being taken of the wedding party. The fruit was in abundance and so good.Water and lemonade was served from the tailgate of this 50’s pick-up. I die… and the suitcase? what? so cute
just an example of cute details using old farm equipment and old doors, windows and picture frames.
Flags in the trees set a sweet and casual perimeter.Casual with classic, I love itBurlap and sparkle!I love the linens used. Casual and elegant.
The food was set up under and canopy of tule and burlap. I LOVE the combo and everything blew so sleepily in the breeze. perfect.
All the trees had lights and touches of lights for after hours when the yard became magical. All of this was set in the back yard of Jill’s beautiful childhood home. PS her parents were amazing. The cake table was a tiered set up of cupcakes and their cake they cut was a giant cup cake. So different and so darling. No worries about cutting a passing a cake when cupcakes are all over the yard. It seemed like there were millions of them.
I really want a chandelier to hang from a tree in my backyard. Gorgeous!
The “cake”
The kids were in heaven being surrounded by all the treats!
Amazing, really. I had two.
This was genius. They made home made graham cookies and homemade marshmallows and paired them with Ghirardelli chocolate squares. They were AMAZING. I had the raspberry marshmallow with the raspberry filled chocolate and it was the best s’more in the world
As the sun set on the day, the music began and dancing started. People relaxed even more. The trees were blanketed in gold and the flames were lit at the s’mores bar. People danced into the night and I’m sure it was the best wedding ever for more than Ryan and Jill.
